CS Source - Summer Season '08
Start Date: June 24, 2008
Time: 6pm-9pm
Frequency: Every Tuesday (UTC) & Wednesday (MVC)

Prizes/Team:
1st Place: up to $2,400 in TOG cash & prizes
2nd Place: up to $1300 in TOG cash & prizes
3rd Place: up to $525 in TOG cash & prizes

Registration Fee: FREE* (Players are required to purchase time to use tog computers at the normal rates.)

Game Rules:

This will be a 6 week season for Counter Strike Source

The season will consist of 5 weeks of regular season with pre-scheduled matchups as well as one day of playoffs

• Failure to appear for a scheduled match will result in a forfiet and an automatic 1 point for the other team.

• 12 team limit

• Teams will sign up for play at one of the two TOG locations and will play all of the regular season matches at that store. The playoffs will be held at the Mission Valley The Office Games location.

• The matches will consist of 16 rounds and in the event of a tie 3 rounds of over time.

• Teams have 10 minutes prior to a match to adjust their keybindings and settings.

• The top 4 teams will move on to the playoffs.

• Teams will be ranked by points accumulated through the regular season play for the playoffs. In the event of a tie in points the head to head matches between the two teams will be reviewed. In the event of a further tie an extra 3 round match will be required to determine placement

• Playoffs will consist of a semi-final round and a final round.

• Semi-finals will be the 1st place team playing the 4th place team and the 2nd place team playing the 3rd place team. same format of 16 rounds per match with a 3 round overtime if necessary.

• Playoffs will be the winners of the semi-final round playing 16 rounds with a 3 round overtime if necessary.

1) General Conduct

• Players will conduct themselves in a reasonable manner, maintaining a friendly and polite demeanor to spectators, members of the press, tournament or league officials, and to other players.

• Players will refrain from the use of vulgar language, if such language can be heard or seen by spectators, other players or any other person. Abusive behavior, including harassment and threats is prohibited.

• Physical abuse, fighting or any threatening action or threatening language, directed at any player, spectator, official or any other person is prohibited.

• Abuse to game stations, controllers or any tournament equipment is prohibited.

• Any action that interferes with play of a game, including but not limited to purposely breaking a game station, interfering with power, and abuse of in game pausing, is prohibited.

• Gambling, including betting on the outcome of games is prohibited.


2) Dress Code

• Players must wear attire appropriate to the circumstances and location at which an event is taking place.

• Dress code violations will result in a warning. If the player fails to correct the violation, he/she will be disqualified.


3) Availability for Awards

• Players must be available for post-tournament awards ceremonies and interviews.

• Winners must sign winner form and prize acceptance to claim prizes.


4) Violations

• Violation of any rule, unless specifically stated otherwise, will result in immediate disqualification and/or loss of winner status.


5) Game Interruptions

• If a game is interrupted intentionally by any player, that player will immediately be disqualified.

• If a game interruption is caused by outside circumstances such as a machine error or loss of power, the game shall be continued from the point of interruption, or restarted at the discretion of TOG coordinators.
